Actually i am more waiting for the physics updates. FO8 and BF1 are often so frustrating, because the tyres are nowhere near as good as the real tires.
In fact, the fia asked something very special at the end of 2010 season. They asked the manufactures to make the tires worse!
This is in contrast to lfs where the bf1 sets the tires on fire within 3-4 laps with a realistic setup. fo8 suffers from this too but not as bad as the bf1.
Also running r1 with max pressure is nearly always best with fox which is not realistic irl. Tires on max-pressure do not grip at all. Other example of things not just right:The fxo gtr braking performance, hardly any better than a sporty saloon with good year F1 GS-D3 tires. Which irl is very unlikely to happen!
Suspension damage:
Driving over bumps damages suspension too quickly, numerous examples on youtube showing real fast race-car classes are can take huge bumps lap after lap and do not suffer from suspension damage like in lfs. But on the other hand, in lfs you can drive over many high curbstones at 180+km/h which is irl not an good idea!
These several are reasons is why i am not active with lfs, waiting, waiting for tire-physics updates!
Although i appreciate the improvements with current test-patches a lot, the physics really needs improvements the most!

I gave it another try. To my disbelief there doesn't seem to have been a single physics update in the past 2.5 years!
The rear wheel drive skip barber formula car still encourages flooring the throttle as a remedy to oversteer. Yeah right, that's realistic, a car made for beginner pay drivers behaves as if it were trying to kill you...
Then there are still the ridiculous x1 penalties whenever you dare to put a wheel on the grass, even if you are still able to keep the throttle planted without problems.
On a positive note the graphics and performance have made a nice improvement.
A few questions for the iRacing regulars:
I'm still interested in the Formula Mazda, Spa and Brands. If I shell out for them, will I be able to drive them in competition? As far as I can tell iRacing still dictates which cars are driven where and when. Which means that there is no Formula Mazda on either Spa or Brands. Or are there free servers somewhere where people can drive on any combo they want, LFS style?
Hi guys, I'm thinking about giving iracing another test after I was really put off by the terrible handling of the Skip Barber car, over two years ago.
Am I being thick or is there no price list for the cars/tracks on the site?
What I'd be interested in: If I understood you right you are using an advanced, self developed non-realtime tyre model to verify the realtime tyre model. What are you using to verify the advanced model?
You are so wrong. In all the ways.
Jouman was one of the finalists and even though he's cute, he's not a teen(and he's quite good at racing too).
And what if the teens get an account and tests the game? 95% realises they are bitches and can't drive(not true to Finland cause there 95% could actually drive(mostly gravel rally but)) and don't play agian.
I totally scraped my knees and lower legs while beeing dragged through that hatch, so i would recommend You to get some lists on the other side until next year so it won't hurt so much when i'm getting the same treatment
as for the pints - anytime, anywhere i would buy You the whole pub
If i'll ever go on another event, please remind me not to go and get £130 on friday, keep it in my wallet. Go out on Saturday and return home with no driving license, credit card or pounds with only a week left until travel time ^^
